“Before I started working with Jewel, I was stuck in the cycle of fad diets. The most successful and the most epic failure was the keto diet I was on. I had lost a ton of weight but as soon as I got off of it- I gained it all back. I had just turned 40 and I was starting to feel a lot of pain in my sciatic nerve, back and knees. The intent was to do it for a few months,  I wasn’t hopeful due to past failures. However, I knew I had to make a change, not just for my sake, but for the sake of my kids that needed a mother that could "keep up".

When I first met Jewel, I thought WOW she's young, what does she know about my 40 year old body? So once again, my hopes were not high. But within two months, I saw real results. The weights that once felt so heavy were getting easier, my clothes were fitting looser, and the regulars at the gym were starting to compliment me on my progress. We all want a specific type of body when we start out with our health journey. The reality is, the mind is the first thing you need to change. I went into this journey with the expectation that I want to be 105 lbs, because growing up, that was mostly my weight. Throughout the years, I learned that the number on the scale isn't what defines my overall health. I'm not 105 lbs but I have a much better physique than I was when I was 25, and I feel SO much better now in my skin. I enjoy my weekends with my friends and don't feel guilty when I have that glass of wine, or the cookie or even a burger. My relationship with food has improved. Carbs are not the enemy, I enjoy life, I enjoy my health. I'm able to race my kids to the playground (they still win but that's ok), I'm able to hike up steep mountains and don't have pain in my back. I'm able to help my husband move heavy things around so he doesn't need to call his "bros". I have so much energy now, I have a full-time career, I volunteer in our community and my kids' schools, I get up at 5am to hit the gym- I am finally able to show up for myself and all those around me that I love. I don't hate myself anymore, I am confident!
